WALK for AIDS Belmont:

The 28th Annual Walk for AIDS Belmont was September 17, 2022. We raised over $33,000.  We are grateful for each of you that joined us and of course all of those that couldn't be here but support House of Mercy and the community we serve. House of Mercy has provided a home and care for those living with HIV/AIDS for 31 years. This year was monumental as we walked with a new mission and vision. We walk because the South is considered the epicenter of HIV/AIDS carrying the greatest burden of new infection, illness and death. We walk because North Carolina ranks in the TOP 10 states of new HIV/AIDS diagnoses amongst adults and adolescents.  We walk because it is time to end HIV/AIDS in our community.

WALK for AIDS  brings us together as a  Beloved Community to do the important work of creating a just world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. WALK for AIDS provides an opportunity for us to spend time with our many supporters, helps raise funds to operate House of Mercy and our newest program Positive Connections, and helps raise awareness about the importance of HIV prevention, care, and the role we each play in stopping  HIV stigma and discrimination.
