HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
February 7th, 2025
This day serves as a critical reminder of the disproportionate impact of HIV/AIDS on Black communities and the urgent need for action to address systemic barriers.
Despite making up only 13% of the U.S. population, Black Americans accounted for 40% of new HIV diagnoses in recent years. Factors such as stigma, limited access to healthcare, and socioeconomic inequalities contribute to these alarming disparities.
