#GivingTuesdayCLT / World AIDS Day Reception
November 14 to Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28 /Tuesday, December 5, 2017
GOAL: Help us raise $16,000 to help care for our low-income residents living with AIDS!
Giving Tuesday, the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving, was created as a day of giving following Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday shopping days. Please give to House of Mercy on Giving Tuesday! With your help, House of Mercy will continue to be a safe haven for our neighbors living with AIDS who can no longer care for themselves.
Check back next month to connect with our Giving Tuesday peer-to-peer fundraising campaign beginning Nov. 14 and ending on Nov. 28. This is an easy way to invite your friends to support House of Mercy via our specially designed social media posts and email invitations.
World AIDS Day (traditionally observed on December 1st since 1988) raises AIDS awareness to support those living with and affected by HIV. Join us at the House of Mercy residence for our World AIDS Day reception on Tuesday, Dec. 5th to remember House of Mercy residents from 1991-2017, to honor those affected by HIV/AIDS and the allies who support them. Following a reading of residents' names and a short history of AIDS, we will announce funds raised during our Giving Tuesday Campaign. Then join us for refreshments. A tour of the residence will also be offered.
Time: 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm
Location: House of Mercy residence, 304 McAuley Circle on the Sisters of Mercy campus in Belmont, NC.
